About The New York Skydiving Meetup Group

I've decided to use this section to be very up-front about our group's rules. We hate rules, we really do, but they help us have some pretty amazing meetups!

Due to a few no-shows and a few people who did not pay their deposits before the Meetups, I?ve found the need to establish a few ground rules for future Meetups.

It is courteous to accept or decline an invitation within a few days of receiving it. The same goes for adjusting your RSVP if your plans change. To reeeeeeeeeeally break it down:

* If there is an evenet fee, you must pay your deposit by the due date given on the Event page for the Meetup you plan on attending. The deposit secures your space on the plane and helps the DZ we are visiting plan their day. Imagine if you turned away paying customers because a large group from NYC was going to visit and only 2 showed up. Wouldn?t you be mad if you ran that DZ? Just be courteous- you really don?t want to pi** off the people who you are depending on to have a safe skydive! ;)

* You should RSVP within the first two days of receiving an invitation

* You should update your RSVP as soon as your plans change. If that's within 24 hours of the event, you should personally contact the Organizer via email or phone to tell them about the change

* If you RSVPed Yes, you show up to the event. If you can't show up, you change your RSVP accordingly and notify the Organizer

* If you RSVPed No, you do not attend the event without changing your RSVP to Yes and then contacting the Organizer

* If you RSVPed Maybe, you change your RSVP to Yes or No at least 48 hours before the event and inform the Organizer of that change

* If you RSVPed Maybe and you don?t change your RSVP to Yes or No at least 48 hours before the event, your RSVP will be changed to a No for you to allow others the opportunity to join the group

* If you did not RSVP, you are not part of the meetup. This means that you will not be eligible for any group discounts we may receive. Go ahead- join the group and RSVP Yes if you want to come!

* If either myself or any of the assistant organizers emails you about a meetup and we ask for you to respond, please respond to the email

When in doubt, just follow those above rules, and everyone will think you're the cat's pajamas!
